Dulles Town Center, VA - On  August 15th, the Post 1177 Auxiliary awarded Abigail Brown for winning 1st place in the Virginia for the Young American Patriotic Art Contest  in Mimi’s Café in Dulles.   Abigail’s work, which focused on her great-grandfather   Norman Tucker, a WWII veteran , using traditional colored pencil media, also participated in the National event. 

Abigail recently graduated from  Chantilly High School, and will study Design and Environmental Space at Cornell University this Fall.  Abigail was awarded $150 from the Department of Virginia Auxiliary and $200 from the Post 1177 Auxiliary.
