As of October 31st, Loudoun County VFW Post 1177 has closed accepting Patriots Pen, Voice of Democracy and Teacher of the Year submissions for 2017.  High quality submissions in all three categories were accepted.  The post will commence judging shortly and has until 15 November to submit selected entries to the VFW Virginia 10th District for their judging.  Any Post 1177 submissions that are selected will then be forwarded to the State and then National level.  Date of announcement for winners is to be determined and will be contacted directly by representatives from the post.

 

Special arrangements for entries made prior to the October 31st deadline will still be honored.  If there are any questions or concerns, they can be addressed directly to event coordinator, Comrade Max Gutierrez at pastcdrmax@vfw1177.org.
